By Tikum Mbah Azonga
Sorry I can’t see you tonight
The stream is overflowing
And the wooden bridge has been swept away
The roaring waters and brown and angry
I can’t dare to put my foot forward.
But I know I’m yours by right
And it doesn’t matter if I come by rowing
I’m not keeping you at bay
Even if you’re now lean and tawdry
Whatever is the case, be sure of your reward.
