FIRE FROM A VALVE

I kicked the bucket
And enjoyed the splashed water
I saw it escape into the waiting valve
I didn`t greet the first passerby
For fear the stop gap measure might backfire
That`s why the yard boys didn`t sing
If only the firefighters knew
Where the real fire was
The world would be an entirely new place.
