If I could see you again
If only I could see you again
Then I would like the typical five year old child
Clad in her Christmas clothes
Jump up and down the governor’s alleyway
I would hop unto your neck and cling to your body
And shout until someone silences me.
That’s what I would do.
For your sake I would defy the rain
And totally forget about any personal gain
You would then understand that my feelings aren’t mild
And that distance is what a woman in love loathes.
Ever since you went away
Life has been meaningless, empty and shoddy
That’s why the day you come back to me
We shall all night dance the tango for two.
